¡Hola de nuevo! Ya estoy de regreso escribiéndote desde mi bello Cancún.En un principio, esta nota hablaría sobre mi reciente viaje de una manera general, con respecto a todo lo que conocí, lo especial que fue volver a ver a mi mejor amiga, pero, durante el vuelo de regreso decidí que deseaba hablar más allá, quería compartirte mi reflexión sobre una mexicana en U.S.A.
Cuando estaba esperando mi vuelo, tuve una sensación tan grande de felicidad pero también de mucho miedo ¡era mi primer viaje totalmente sola! pero, me lo merecía, merecía esta nueva aventura.
En este viaje logré sacar de mí, muchos tabúes, así como afinar, muchos pensamientos. Primeramente, hablaré de la perspectiva del mexicano en este país.
Con los últimos sucesos del “intrigante” presidente de U.S.A., nos han hecho creer que deberíamos quedaros donde estamos, porque lo único que hacemos es empobrecer, robar y quitar empleos, pero lo que realmente pude notar, es que los mexicanos hemos dado una gran base a este país, es decir, hemos logrado ayudarlos en sus funciones básicas “vitales”, las cuáles son esenciales para el crecimiento. El mexicano ha logrado hacer funciones necesarias para el avance de una sociedad y aunque somos criticados por aceptar “lo que sea”, conocí un negocio que estaba lleno de mexicanos, puedo asegurar que, sin ellos, ese lugar no sería lo que es y lo más importante, ellos han logrado tener una vida plena, sin tener que hacerse menos.
Por cada calle que pasaba dentro de un cierto circuito de la ciudad, encontraba algo mexicano, algo que me hacía sentir felicidad y decir “estos cuates, se la han rifado”, porque dentro de sus negocios, había no sólo paisanos, sino también mucha gente de allá y de todos lados, haciendo una mezcla cultural bien bonita.
Vi a México por todos lados, pero del mismo modo, vi demasiada bandera y patriotismo de U.S.A. Era tanta bandera que de verdad sentí ¿Rabia? Sí, un poco de rabia al pensar en el orgullo que ellos sienten de ser de ahí, me senté y pensé ¿Yo siento ese mismo orgullo de ser mexicana? No hablo tanto de patriotismo o de los símbolos patrios, hablo más del orgullo de mis raíces y de ser descendiente de familia yucateca. Sonreí al pensar todas las cosas que he celebrado y dado a conocer de México, este mensaje de mostrar lo bello y lo positivo de ser mexicano.
Entonces me pregunté: ¿Qué haces tú para hacer crecer este país? ¿Qué hago yo para cambiar la mirada de ignorancia sobre quiénes somos los mexicanos? ¿Qué hacemos todos por hacer de México, un país que alce su bandera? Algo muy hermoso, que me encanto reflexionar.
Llegando a esto, pensé en el tan conocido “sueño americano”, con toda sinceridad, yo me decepcionaba de todo mexicano que prefería irse de nuestro país. Yo siempre he defendido y dicho que en México “sí hay trabajo”, pero que uno debe buscar la chuleta. Platicando con un colega, sobre lo que un mexicano logra o puede ganar en una temporada alta de trabajo en este país, me hizo quedarme callada un momento para darme cuenta, del gran error que he cometido todo este tiempo, al juzgar el esfuerzo y entrega que cada día hacen muchos mexicanos, para darle un mejor futuro a su familia.
Este sueño americano, va más allá de dejar México, ellos dejan el lugar donde crecieron, su casa, su comodidad, su familia y todo para poder crecer.
A cambio de tanta tristeza, este país les regala un poco de la belleza del paisaje, los nuevos momentos y las nuevas costumbres, un conjunto cultural, que es inevitable no disfrutar.
En este viaje, logré conocer personas que, en 5 años, no han podido estar con los que aman, pero que, gracias a sus agallas de cruzarse la frontera, han podido ayudar a su familia, han logrado superarse y han demostrado que sí se puede. No creo y apoyo al 100% que todos debemos salirnos de México, pero sí creo que todos vivimos situaciones distintas, no todos hemos tenido las mismas oportunidades y está mal juzgar las decisiones que otros toman para poder superarse, pero, sobre todo, crecer.
Si tú ahora puedes crecer aquí, en tu tierra ¡Hazlo! Lucha, vive y cree en ti, porque situaciones difíciles, siempre habrán, a donde quiera que vayas, pero si ahora, es una oportunidad que tienes, tómala, viaja, conoce, ve a donde tengas que ir, mide las consecuencias que esto genere ¡Crece! Pero eso sí, no olvides de dónde vienes e inspira a otros, para que no lo hagan, porque tus raíces, fueron la base para ser quién eres.
Por último y para cerrar esta nota, quiero hablar sobre el tabú más bonito que pude romper, tachar al gringo como enemigo. Pensar que todos son igual de locos que el “intrigante” presidente y que en este país, sólo irás a que te traten mal, es muy erróneo.
En casi todos los lugares que iba, cuando me escuchaban hablar con mi mejor amiga, en automático iniciaban a hablarme en español, esto me hizo pensar en nosotros cuando oímos a un gringo hablar y para hacerlo sentir como en casa, tratamos de hablarle en su idioma. Nunca recibí una mala mirada (al contrario, mis dreads fueron un furor entre muchos), adicional a esto, tuve unas lindas experiencias en mis vuelos, en donde estos “gringos” intentaban hablar conmigo, incluso después de hablarles bien cavernícola y decirles que no hablo mucho el idioma, me decían que no era tan malo y que tenía buen acento (lo cual adiciono mucha cortesía al momento).
Este viaje, me sirvió para inspirarme, para hacer mi mente más abierta, conocí nuevos paisajes, disfruté como nunca, pero lo mejor fue que después de tener esa espina clavada en mi corazón contra U.S.A., esta, ya no existe y la herida, al fin, ha sanado.
Esta imagen se me hizo perfecta para quitarme esa venda de los ojos, sobre lo que sentía de nuestros vecinos. Aquí solo veo pedazos de tierra, totalmente juntos, sin división, realmente la división esta en nuestra cabeza.
